Itinerary

Day 1 - Marrakech - Arrival Morocco

Upon your arrival at Marrakech, our dedicated driver will greet you and provide a seamless transfer to your chosen hotel or Riad, allowing for immediate rest and relaxation. As evening descends, our expert driver and a multi-lingual guide will lead you on an insightful orientation tour, culminating at the iconic Djemaa El Fna square. Here, you will be captivated by the mesmerizing spectacle of dancers, skilled snake-charmers, and engaging narrators, truly immersing you in the city's vibrant pulse. Dinner and a comfortable overnight stay await you at your hotel or Riad.

Day 2 - Marrakech - Walking Medina Guided Tour

Today is dedicated to a comprehensive exploration of Marrakech. Following breakfast, you will embark on a full-day guided tour of this enchanting Moroccan city. Your visit will include a stroll through the tranquil Menara Gardens, featuring its magnificent pool enveloped by vibrant flowers, and an encounter with the towering Koutoubia Minaret. Discover the historical Saadian Tombs, delve into the rich heritage at the Dar Si Said Museum—showcasing exquisite Berber arts and crafts—and marvel at the architectural grandeur of the Bahia Palace. Lunch will be savored at a local restaurant. The afternoon invites you to wander through the colorful and bustling Souks of Marrakech, a sensory delight. The day concludes with a refreshing sunset drink offering panoramic views over the lively Djemaa El Fna square, followed by a dinner with a captivating spectacle at a charming restaurant. Day 3 - Marrakech - Ourika - Marrakech

Today, we depart from Marrakech for a scenic excursion to the Ourika Valley, nestled at the foot of the majestic Atlas Mountains. This beautiful drive will unveil small, red-mud villages clinging to the mountainsides, traditional terraced agriculture, and the refreshing banks of the Ourika River. You will have the unique opportunity to visit a local Berber house, gaining insight into their traditional lifestyle, the simplicity of their tools, and the intimacy of Berber privacy. Experience a traditional mint tea preparation and enjoy a warm moment with a local family. Dinner and overnight stay will be back at your hotel or Riad in Marrakech.

Day 4 - Marrakech - Casablanca - Rabat

After breakfast, our journey takes us north towards Rabat, the distinguished capital of Morocco. En route, we will make a significant stop in Casablanca for lunch and to visit the awe-inspiring Hassan II Mosque. As the second-largest mosque in the world and an architectural masterpiece, it stands as one of the rare mosques open to non-Muslim visitors, offering an extraordinary insight into Islamic art and design. Continuing to Rabat, a city overlooking the sea, we will observe the impressive crenellated red ocher walls, extending over 5 km, built during the reign of Sultan Yacoub el-Mansour. Our exploration includes the historic Kasbah of the Udayas, erected by a powerful tribe in the 12th century. We then visit the Hassan Tower, whose four facades boast distinct decorations, and the remains of the old mosque, alongside the magnificent Mohamed V Mausoleum—a true masterpiece of Moroccan traditional architecture, adorned with valuable materials and splendid decorations from around the globe. Subsequently, you will return to the new town to admire the Royal Palace, the official residence of the King. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be in your hotel or Riad in Rabat.

Day 5 - Rabat - Chefchaouen

Following breakfast, we embark on a scenic journey towards Chefchaouen, Morocco's celebrated "Blue City," nestled gracefully within the Rif Mountains. The route will treat you to views of charming small villages dotting the landscape. Upon arrival, you will immerse yourself in the uniquely tranquil and captivating atmosphere of this mountain town. Explore its iconic blue-washed streets and discover its hidden gems, truly appreciating the relaxed ambiance that defines the Rif Mountains. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at your hotel or Riad. 

Note: An optional extra day in Chefchaouen is possible for those wishing to extend their relaxation and exploration.
Day 6 - Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes

After breakfast, enjoy a half-day to further explore Chefchaouen at your leisure, allowing for deeper immersion and relaxation. Later, we depart towards Meknes. Our journey includes a significant stop at Volubilis, the impressive ancient Roman ruins. You will have the opportunity to explore these 2000-year-old archaeological remains, marveling at the historical grandeur. We will also make a brief visit to Moulay Idriss, a sacred town. Our route then continues to Meknes, one of Morocco's esteemed Imperial Cities, where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a Riad.

Day 7 - Meknes - Fez

Following breakfast, we commence a comprehensive tour of Meknes. The exploration begins with a drive along its monumental walls, featuring the grand gates dating back to the 17th century, such as Bab Berdaïne and Bab Khemis. We continue our discovery with visits to the Royal Stables. A significant stop will be made at the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, which for a long time was the only mosque in Morocco accessible to non-Muslims. We then exit through the famous Bab El Mansour, leading to the Hedim Square. On the other side of the square, the Museum of Moroccan Art "Dar Jamai" offers a rich display of traditional handicrafts. Our journey then continues to Fez, where dinner and overnight accommodation will be at your Riad or Hotel.

Day 8 - Fez - Guided Tour

Today, after breakfast, you will embark on a comprehensive guided tour of the Fez medina, recognized as one of the world's largest walled cities and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore its labyrinthine narrow streets, bustling with fresh produce, aromatic spices, intricately woven Berber carpets. Your tour will include visits to significant mosques, such as the Quaraouiyine Mosque (founded in 859 by Fatima el Fihri) and the Andalusian Mosque (dating back to 860). You will see historic fountains, including the Nejjarine fountain, and discover Medersas (Koranic schools), some founded as early as the 13th century. The Batha Palace, now a museum of arts and traditions, the vibrant Chouwara Tanneries, and bustling souks like Souk Attarine, one of the city's liveliest, are also on the itinerary. We will pass by Bab Boujloud with its distinctive green and blue ceramics, explore the Mellah (Jewish Quarter) and the 17th-century Ibn Danan synagogue, and view the Kings Palace from outside. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be provided.

Day 9 - Fez - Ifran - Midelt - Merzouga

An early departure from Fez marks the beginning of your ascent into the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will pass through Ifrane, a unique winter ski resort built. A visit to the cedar forest in Azrou offers an opportunity to observe Barbary monkeys in their natural habitat. We wil spend the day winding through beautiful forests, past natural springs, rugged rock faces, and traditional Berber villages, as you cross the Atlas Mountains and begin your descent towards the Sahara Desert. We will pause for lunch in Midelt, a town renowned for its fossils and geological treasures. The journey then continues towards Merzouga, with a stop at a panoramic viewpoint to admire a vast oasis of palm trees. We will reach Merzouga in the afternoon, where you will enjoy dinner accompanied by traditional Saharan music, and spend the night in a traditional Kasbah.

Day 10 - Merzouga - Full Day Adventure - Erg Chebbi

After breakfast, you can relax by the hotel swimming pool. Later, we embark on an approximately three-hour desert tour, allowing you to witness the diverse facets of the Sahara. Our journey takes us through small villages and oases, and past the seasonal lake. We will stop to listen to the soul-stirring Saharan music in Khamlia, a village known for its Gnawa musicians. A visit to a Berber family in their traditional tent offers a unique insight into their nomadic life, complete with a welcoming mint tea. We will also make a brief visit to Rissani, the historical first capital of the Alaouite dynasty, before returning to the desert's edge. After a period of rest, your adventure continues as you set off by camel into the breathtaking Erg Chebbi dunes. This unforgettable 1 hour camel trek will lead you to a secluded Berber tent camp, where you will enjoy dinner accompanied by the rhythmic sounds of drums, and spend a magical night under the vast desert sky.

Day 11 - Merzouga - Gorges Todra - Gorge Dades

Following a special Berber breakfast at your desert camp, you will depart towards the Dades Gorge. Our route traverses the rugged "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs," where ancient turreted sand castles rise majestically along this historic caravan trading route. This central region is celebrated as one of Morocco's most captivating and romantic destinations, with its rich river valleys, lush palmeries, and burnished mud-brick homes glowing under the vast blue desert sky. We will travel through the Ziz Valley, past dramatic escarpments and plunging gorges, via Tinghir. A stop for lunch at a local restaurant in the village provides a break, and after a refreshing walk in the Todra Gorge, we will continue towards the Dades Gorge. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at a local hotel.

Day 12 - Gorges Dades - Ouarzazate - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech

After breakfast, you will have the opportunity for a walk to further explore the Dades Gorge before we continue our journey to Ouarzazate. Here, we will visit the town, including the impressive Kasbah of Taourirt and the renowned Atlas movie studios—the largest and most famous in all of Africa. From Ouarzazate, we head towards the Fint Oasis, a tranquil green paradise nearby. Our next stop is the iconic Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, where we will arrive in time for lunch. This famous Kasbah, a declared UNESCO World Heritage site, has served as a stunning backdrop for numerous films, including "The Gladiator," "Babel," and "Lawrence of Arabia." Subsequently, we continue our journey, passing through the majestic High Atlas Mountains and over the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. This road climbs from the plains to an elevation of 2260 meters above sea level, offering continuously changing landscapes of small villages, charming waterfalls, and vibrant mountain colors. We will reach Marrakech in the afternoon, where dinner and overnight accommodation will be at your Riad or Hotel.

Day 13 - Marrakech - Depart Morocco
After breakfast, and depending on your scheduled departure time, you will be comfortably transferred to Marrakech Airport for your onward journey, concluding your tour.
