Your visit will include the tranquil Menara Gardens, featuring a magnificent pool surrounded by vibrant flowers, the towering Koutoubia Minaret, the historical Saadian Tombs, the Dar Si Said Museum showcasing exquisite Berber arts and crafts, and the opulent Bahia Palace. Following this, you will delve into the colorful souks of Marrakech, a true feast for the senses. Your day concludes with dinner and a comfortable overnight stay in a traditional Riad.
In the morning, following breakfast, you may enjoy a leisurely walk through the stunning Dades Gorges. We will then continue our journey along the "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs," passing through the village of Tineghir and the ancient Jewish Kasbah. Our route leads us to the Todra Gorges, where we will arrive in time for lunch. You will have the opportunity to take a captivating walk within the gorges before taking the road towards the Merzouga Desert, passing through Erfoud and Rissani. We aim to reach Merzouga before sunset. After a brief rest, your unforgettable desert experience begins as you embark on a camel trek into the vast Erg Chebbi dunes. You will witness an incredible and unforgettable night under the stars in a traditional Berber tent, where you will enjoy dinner accompanied by the rhythmic sounds of drums and traditional Berber songs. Afterward, you will return by camel to the hotel for overnight accommodation.
After breakfast, we will depart towards Fez, passing through Rissani and Erfoud, then along the scenic Ziz Valley. We will stop for lunch in Midelt. Our journey continues as we cross the Middle Atlas Mountains and traverse the cedar forest, passing through Ifrane, a unique winter ski resort built in a European style by the French in the 1930s. We aim to reach Fez in the afternoon, where you will enjoy dinner at a restaurant near the Bab Boujloud Gate and spend the night in a traditional Riad.
After breakfast, you will begin a comprehensive guided tour of the Fez medina, one of the world's largest walled cities. You will navigate its narrow, winding streets, lined with vibrant stalls selling fresh fruit, aromatic spices, intricately woven Berber carpets, and a myriad of other Moroccan art objects. Your tour will include visits to historical mosques such as the Quaraouiyine Mosque (founded in 859 by Fatima el Fihri) and the Andalusian Mosque (dating back to 860). You will also discover beautiful fountains, including the Nejjarine Fountain, ancient Koranic schools (Medersas) founded as early as the 13th century, the Batha Palace (now a museum of arts and traditions), the Chouwara Tanneries, and vibrant souks, including Souk Attarine, one of the city's liveliest. After a lunch break, you will depart towards Chefchaouen, the renowned blue city nestled in the Rif Mountains. Along the route, you will enjoy several scenic stops. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be in Chefchaouen.
Following breakfast, you will have the morning to revisit and further explore the enchanting "cool" blue town of Chefchaouen, appreciating its tranquil ambiance tucked away in the mountains. Later, we will depart towards Tangier. Upon arrival, we will embark on a comprehensive drive through the historical center and modern parts of the city, stopping at Tangier's most important landmarks. These include the medina, the King's Palace, the famous Café Hafa, Palais Moulay Hafid, the Ibn Battuta Museum, the Phoenician Tombs, the bustling souks, and the lively Marina. After a refreshing lunch break, we will continue to the new city, visiting Spartel Cape, considered the northwesternmost point of Africa, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea. Our next stop will be the ancient Caves of Hercules, inhabited since the Neolithic period and fabled to be the home of Hercules. We will also see Parc Perdicaris. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be in Tangier.
After breakfast, we will leave Tangier and travel towards Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco. Upon arrival, our driver will meet you. Depending on your arrival time, you will embark on an orientation tour of "the white city." This will include a drive through its broad avenues, a stroll through the narrow streets of the medina, visits to the United Nations Square, Place Mohammed V, the central market district, the residential district of Anfa, and a drive along the Boulevard de la Corniche with its pools and restaurants. A highlight of the day will be a visit to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque. As the second largest mosque in the world and a true work of art, it is one of the rare mosques open to non-Muslims. At the conclusion of the tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel or Riad in Casablanca, marking the end of your incredible journey.
