Itinerary

Day 1 - Tangier - Chefchaouen

Upon your arrival in Tangier by ferry, our professional driver will be waiting to greet you. We will immediately depart towards Chefchaouen, Morocco's celebrated "Blue City," nestled gracefully in the Rif Mountains. Along the scenic route, you will enjoy several picturesque stops, allowing you to appreciate the serene and relaxed atmosphere of this mountainous region. Your day will conclude with dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at your hotel in Chefchaouen, preparing you for deeper exploration.

Day 2 - Chefchaouen - Fez

After a delightful breakfast this morning, you will have ample time to fully explore the enchanting blue medina of Chefchaouen. Immerse yourself in its unique charm as you discover the bustling souks, including the vibrant silk and wool weaving quarter, and the main square dotted with charming cafes. Following your captivating visit, we will depart towards Fez, one of the world’s largest walled cities. Upon arrival, you will have dedicated time to begin exploring its labyrinthine medina. Marvel at the narrow streets, rich with fresh fruits, aromatic spices, intricately woven Berber carpets, and countless other Moroccan art objects. You will also see significant historical sites such as the Quaraouiyine Mosque and the Andalusian Mosque, as well as the beautiful Nejjarine Fountain and ancient Koranic schools (Medersas). Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at your hotel in Fez.

Day 3 - Fez - Ifran - Middle Atlas - Midelt - Merzouga

Following an early breakfast, your journey into the heart of Morocco begins. We will ascend through Ifrane with its unique European-inspired architecture. Our drive continues across the Middle Atlas Mountains, where much of the day will be spent winding through stunning cedar forests, past jagged rock faces, and through quaint Berber villages as you gradually descend towards the Sahara Desert. Midday, we will pause for lunch in Midelt, a town renowned for its fossils and geological treasures. Continuing our drive, we will pass through the scenic Ziz Valley and more authentic Berber villages before reaching Merzouga in the afternoon. After a refreshing mint tea, your desert adventure truly begins. Your guide and camels will be ready to lead you across the magnificent sandy dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will experience the breathtaking beauty of a desert sunset from atop a camel. After approximately one hour, you will arrive at your secluded desert camp, where your camels will be hobbled and mint tea will be served. A wonderful dinner under the vast, star-filled sky awaits, followed by an unforgettable overnight stay in a traditional Berber tent.

Day 4 - Merzouga - Gorges Todra - Boumalne Dades - Ouarzazate
After a special Berber breakfast as the sun rises over the dunes, you will depart towards Ouarzazate. Our journey includes a small visit to Rissani, the historical first capital of the Alaouite dynasty, offering glimpses of its ancient Kasbahs and famous market. We will then continue along the rugged "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs," a picturesque route lined with turreted sand castles that evoke images of ancient caravan trading routes. This central region of Morocco is a tapestry of exciting and romantic destinations, nestled along rich rivers, lush valleys, sprawling palmeries, and burnished mud-brick homes glowing under the desert sky. We will travel through the Ziz Valley, past dramatic escarpments and plunging gorges, via Tinghir. We will stop for lunch and a leisurely walk in the stunning Todra Gorge. Our day concludes as we travel through the scenic Dades Valley before reaching Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Essaouira
Following breakfast, we depart towards the coastal city of Essaouira. Our morning will include a visit to Ouarzazate, exploring the historic Kasbah of Taourirt and the famous Atlas Studios, Africa's largest and most renowned film studios. We will then make a significant stop at the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, arriving in time for lunch. Here, you will have the opportunity to explore this famous Kasbah, which has served as a stunning backdrop for numerous films, including "Gladiator," "Babel," and "Lawrence of Arabia." We continue our journey by passing through the majestic High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. This winding road climbs to an elevation of 2260 meters above sea level, offering continuously changing landscapes, small villages, and delightful waterfalls. We will reach Essaouira in the afternoon for dinner and overnight accommodation at your hotel.
Day 6 - Essaouira - Marrakech
In the morning, after a refreshing walk through the charming coastal town of Essaouira, you will discover the essence of this Old Portuguese city, formerly known as Mogador. Essaouira boasts a beautiful and unique blend of architectural influences and is now gradually transforming into a city renowned for its artists. Later, we will take the road towards Marrakech, making a stop en route to visit a cooperative dedicated to the production of argan oil. We will reach Marrakech in the evening for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Day 7 - Marrakech - Guided Tour

After breakfast, immerse yourself in the vibrant "Red City" with a half-day guided tour of Marrakech. Your visit will include the tranquil Menara Gardens, with its magnificent pool surrounded by flowers, the iconic Koutoubia Minaret, the historical Saadian Tombs, the Dar Si Said Museum showcasing exquisite Berber arts and crafts, and the opulent Bahia Palace. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant, followed by a fascinating walk through the colorful souks of Marrakech, where you can haggle for treasures. The day will conclude with a relaxing drink overlooking the bustling Djemaa El Fna square, allowing you to soak in its unique atmosphere, followed by dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8 - Marrakech - Depart Morocco
